Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord! - Lamentations 3:40

On our final night, we reflect back on all that God has done this week. We cherish the relationships we’ve built, we honor God’s faithfulness through the trials and victories, and we are humbled by everything we’ve experienced this week. We were all tested in working 14 hour days, 95+ temperatures with 80%+ humidity, no hot water until today, multiple sicknesses and lack of air conditioning on the work site and most of the churches we ministered in. Through those tests, God provided and walked us to the other side. Though we joke about all of the circumstances above, no one complained! We are all here to do whatever God called us to do, even if it meant rougher conditions than normal.

Along with being in a new place with new conditions, we also tried a lot of new food. For some, trying new things can be difficult, but I’m so thankful we explored Honduras cuisine this week because it was delicious!!

We also experienced many unique sights through the week! I was so thankful I put my phone down and focused on every detail of our day. Being present in the moment allowed us see the small things right in front of us.

Tonight we are going to bed for the last time in Honduras and it doesn’t feel real. This has been the most incredible week and if it weren’t for my family at home (which I miss dearly), I’d stay here much longer! The men, women and children of Honduras have stolen my heart and they have truly changed my life!
