It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later Honduras!

Today has been so bittersweet. We are all ready to see our families and sleep in our own beds, but at the same time, we weren’t ready to leave the people of Honduras. Everyone, including myself, thought we were going there to bless them, but they will never know just how much they blessed us!
As we travel home today, we find ourselves comparing everyone to our friends in Honduras. They put everything into perspective for us. The rushing around, being unkind to others and the overwhelming wastefulness hits so much harder now.
Although I’m sad that the hustle and bustle of our culture immediately sucked us back in, I’m adamant about seeing God in the chaos. We have had many close calls with Hurricane Beryl, but God protected us every single time. Tonight we were rushing to get out of Houston before the storm made landfall, we were delayed multiple hours for both flights today, reducing our chances of making it out. Our pilot was about to time out as well, which would have cancelled our flight and we would have had to weather the hurricane in the airport over night, but God provided! Though it will be another long travel day, we will be home safe with our families tonight. Praise the Lord!
In the days and weeks to come, I pray the Lord continues to use us to share His good news and His faithfulness. If you know anyone who was on the trip, please ask them about their experience! We all have similar, yet unique stories to share and telling our stories is how we stay grounded in the goodness of God’s amazing work this week.
Thank you to every single person that has read, commented and shared this blog! When God laid this on my heart, I thought it was to reach my friends and family who haven’t accepted Jesus as their Savior, but like I said early on, God told me not to limit you with my smallness! So I kept writing and kept trusting and I am BLOWN AWAY by the response. God is so good!!

The future of the blog is uncertain right now, but I’m listening to God’s call to see what is next. If this is the final post, I am so thankful for you and I hope you felt God’s love and faithfulness through my stories.
For those who know the Lord, but haven’t asked Him into your heart, I pray you will say with prayer with me.
Lord, I believe you are my Savior and I want you in my life forever. Please come into my heart so I can be set free. Please take these heavy burdens and fill me with your everlasting peace. I love you Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you said that prayer, will you please let me know? I would love to celebrate you and encourage you! I would love to help you in your next steps if you aren’t sure where to go next!
For those that know the Lord as your Savior and have asked Him into your heart, I pray this journey has inspired you to go out and make disciples of the world! I pray it has set your heart on fire for the Lord! I pray that you will be still so you can hear your call and that you will “go” wherever He calls you to go.
You all are an incredible blessing to me and I know God has amazing plans for each one of you. I love you and God bless you!
Destiny, you have captured this trip and have blessed so many people with your words. Thank you for documenting this!
Thank You again Destiny, for sharing your incredible journey with us. It has been a true inspiration to my heart. May I listen ever closely for His still small voice as it guides me further into His will for my life.
